To all Spreadin’ Smiles Blog Subscribers…Thank you!
It is so amazing to see all who have subscribed. You are now a part of the “The Experiosity Smilin ‘ Club.” I just want you to know that I am so appreciative for your interest in My Spreadin’ Smiles Blog. The mission for this blog is to celebrate smiles and ignite smiles. The blog include stories, fun projects, resources and future events that are will come at a later date. More about this later.
Now for a story…I was outside of Smilin’ Place walking Gracie, my sidekick. Met my neighbor and we began chatting. As we were visiting about stuff, a lady comes walking by. I just smiled at her with a greeting as she walked by. She smiled back at me and said, ‘Hello.’ Wished her a good day and she smiled back and said something before moving on. I could tell she had been through a lot. I then turned back to continue chatting with my neighbor,. She was shaking her head. She then commented as she was looked at me in amazement, “I have never heard her speak and have been trying to talk with her for sometime.”
“Could have it been a smile that I sent to her?” I hope that was what it was. It certainly made me feel good. I think it might have made this lady feel good as well. My neighbor certainly made the difference. This I call an Experiosity Moment
Have you had a similar experience? Let me know by sending a note on the comment screen.
Now on to some fun! Today, Our Spreadin’ Smiles Campaign is moving along to bring fun to the children who visit The Experiosity Smilin’ Place. Let me introduce our little friends.
“Charlie is the leader of our new friends” – With her red pony tails flying in the breeze she is always going to share stories about how she searches for new treasures around the farm where she lives with her sidekicks.
Her sidekicks are Remington, her favorite horse, Bark and Lark, Moss and Violet. They all have their own stories which will come out later.
Now for something to think about. This is from a book I am reading entitled “Into the Magic Shop” by James R. Doty, M.D, He refers to important words from a favorite book he had as a child. The words are from Dale Carnegie…”How To Win Friends and Influence People.”
- Become genuinely interested in other people.
- Remember that a person’s name is, to that person, the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
- Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
- Talk in terms of the other person’s interest.
- Make the other person feel Important…and do it sincerely.
Maybe, the lady who spoke to me reminded me that a smile works wonders. Also, this blog introduces 6 new friends. Hopefully, they will brings smiles to children as well as adults when they visit the Experiosity Smilin’ Place. Nothing like a puppet sharing a smile and helping out with a good fun conversation.

The current cost for the puppet subscription is $15.00/month plus tax and $5.00 for shipping and handling. This includes the handmade puppet, story about the puppet and an an outdoor adventure activity sheet.
